My passion for videography started 22 years ago when my parents lent my twin brother and I their home video camera to record our skateboarding tricks. I was just 14 yrs old and loved capturing our talents. I got obsessed with filming everything from our trips to Palomas, Mexico, to everyday shenanigans as teenagers. In high school, a tech class was offered, and I took the class to learn more about video and editing. I started challenging myself by creating commercials, and to a remake of “Pimp My Ride,” with my best friends.
After graduating high school in 2007, I attended New Mexico State University, where I studied Digital Film Making through the College of Arts and Sciences. During that time, my twin brother and I started a YouTube channel where we produced, filmed, acted in, and edited comedy skits together. My passion for filmmaking grew when I got the opportunity to do stand-in work and photo double for Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse on the feature film “Year One.” The excitement of being on set was a feeling I had never experienced before; I loved every minute of it and knew I was in the right place. During my time at NMSU, I collaborated with other talented filmmakers and produced projects that enhanced our skills as young filmmakers.
Shortly after earning my bachelor's degree in Digital Film Making in 2012, I have spent over 12 years working on major films and television productions within the New Mexico Film and Television industry. My roles have included set PA, office PA, Executive Producers Assistant, Set Decoration Coordinator, and Transportation Dispatcher. I am currently a union member of Teamsters Local 399NM and IATSE 480.
With the skills, knowledge, and networking I’ve gained over a decade of working in the entertainment industry, I’ve been able to expand my abilities by producing my own projects. My portfolio has grown to encompass documentaries, music videos, social media content, and collaborations with local businesses to highlight their services.
If you’ve made it this far-thanks for reading my story! I’m always down to collaborate, share ideas, or just chat about cool projects. Check out my work, shoot me a message and let’s make something awesome together.
